  • promotes and maintains your baby's health
Benefits of Shiatsu

Shiatsu massage can help your baby with:

  • sleeping
  • chest congestion
  • teething
  • constipation
  • digestion
  • colic
  • circulation
  • skin rashes
  • calming emotions
  • re-balancing posture

How is Shiatsu massage different from other baby massage

Shiatsu not only tones the skin and the muscles, but also promotes the correct functioning of the internal organs by stimulating acupressure points and energy flows in the body. It also encourages sound physical development by encouraging postural re-balancing over time.

What to expect in a session

A session last between 11/4-1 1/2 hours. The practitioner will teach you a routine for massaging your baby with oil and incorporate Shiatsu points and energetic work that may be helpful for your baby's health. She will both demonstrate as well as talk you through the routine.

You can have an individual session tailored to your baby's needs. Alternatively, you can arrange a group session with several of your friends and their babies (maximum of five babies), in which case you can share the total cost of the session.

How old does my baby have to be?

Babies can receive Shiatsu from the day they are born. There is also no upper age limit, however it is easier to learn to massage your baby before they crawl. Group sessions need to be arranged with pre-crawling babies only.
